Contract basis
EUROPE CARE is a combination of legally independent insurance contracts exclusively sold by Dr. Walter GmbH and its partners.
The health insurance policy is based on the General Insurance Conditions for short term travel health insurance (AVB-ARK 2008) combined with the Special Conditions EUROPE-CARE-VISITOR (2008) of Central Krankenversicherung AG Köln.
The liability insurance policy is based on the General Liability Insurance Conditions (AHB 2008) and the Special Liability Insurance Conditions (AHB 2008) of Generali Versicherung AG. The accident insurance policy is based on the General Accident Insurance Conditions (AUB 2008) combined with the Special Conditions for Liability and Accident Insurance EUROPE-CARE (2008) der Generali Versicherung AG.
The insurance policy is governed by German Law. In case of appeal, the responsible supervisory authority is the Bundesanstalt für Finanzdienstleistungsaufsicht (Federal Financial Supervisory Authority), Graurheindorfer Str. 108, 53117 Bonn.
In case of appeal, you are furthermore entitled to apply to an extra-judicial arbitrator:

The ombudsman is both extra-judicial arbitrator for the settlement of disputes regarding insurance contracts with consumers and for the settlement of disputes between insurance brokers and insured persons. His decisions are not binding for the insurer. The possibility of initiating legal proceedings remains unaffected.

Right of revocation
You may revoke your application without indicating reasons by regular mail, fax, E-Mail, within 14 days of concluding the contract. To adhere to this time limit, it is sufficient to send your declaration in goodtime. Please send your declaration to:
